Here at the Dental Touch we have made changes to the practice to allow you to access oral health care safely. Below is the new journey that you will need to follow, which has been developed from the guidance, that we have received from our professional bodies. We appreciate that some of this may not be in keeping with our ethos but we hope you understand why we have had to do this.
Our commitment to your safety
We will be operating a “closed-door policy”, allowing patients in on an appointment basis only. The practice will, therefore, be closed during the lunch period. Please do not arrive without an appointment.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
Before you can attend the practice, you will be asked to fill out a new medical history form, Covid-19 consent form. All these are mandatory and need to be filled out BEFORE your appointment.
Your temperature will be taken, with an infrared thermometer, prior to entering the practice.

Staff will be adorned in PPE and will not shake your hand for your safety.
Patients will need to attend alone, with the exception of small children and patients with carers. We will only allow one adult to accompany, and they will have to remain in the reception.
Distance of at least 2 metres must be observed if another patient is present in the dental practice. Markings have been placed to ensure this safe distance is achieved.
We will be taking pre-payment at the time of appointment booking. Cash will not be accepted. Any sundry purchases will be using contactless card method.
Please ring the practice that you have arrived for your appointment. We kindly request that you wait in your car and will be given a call on your mobile phone to say when we are ready to see you. You will be sent straight through to the surgery.
Please leave personal belongings in your car. Any belongings brought in will have to be left in a box outside the treatment room, applicable, if you are having an AGP procedure (treatment)
Please note if you are a patient that is clinically extremely vulnerable or clinically vulnerable from Coronavirus we will not be offering you an appointment for your safety during this initial phase**.
Please come to the practice wearing a mask. We kindly ask that patients brush their teeth at home, prior to coming to the practice.
If you show COVID-19 symptoms within 2 weeks following your appointment, you should inform the practice by phone.
You will be required to check-in, with the QR scanner, to the new NHS test and trace app.
